Answer It could be anything but most commonly it is a lymph node. This would be right under where your jaw hinges. It may (or may not) feel hard, warm to the touch or painful. If it lasts for more than two weeks you ought to call your doctor. Generally, your lymph nodes (sometimes just one though) will swell when you are sick or fighting off an illness. Many things can cause a lump on the right side of your neck. It could be a swollen lymph node or something more serious. It is advised that you have it checked by a doctor.
