A mink is one of two species that are nocturnal semiaquatic carnivores member of the family Mustelidae (weasels) in the genus Mustela. They are highly prized for their fur and are found in the forested areas of North America, Europe, and Siberia.

A mink is a member of the weasel family, same as ferrets The American Mink is similar to the extinct Sea Mink but smaller. There is also an European mink, too. a mink is a semi-aquatic mammal. Typically found in swampy or marshy areas. They are also loners apart from breeding and raising young. Mink are members of the weasel family (Mustelidae). They are chocolate brown in color with a small white patch on the lower lips area. They are similar in size to a ferret and usually live close to water. they are good swimmers and are also capable of climbing trees. Mink feed on frogs, water birds, fish and small mammals such as voles and young rabbits. Mink are bred in captivity on "Mink Farms" for their fur.
