There is not a current Mexican 5000 Peso note. The 1985-89 issue note is worth $3-$6 in perfect uncirculated condition.

Technically, the answer is 1 peso because you're asking about a Mexican coin in Mexico.

If you're actually asking what it's worth in US currency, exchange rates change daily but during much of 2012 and 2013 the Mexican peso has been worth around 7 US cents.

In the United States, a Mexican Peso is not worth much more than three cents or so. Although, check the date and variety of your coin, because if it is older or different than present Mexican coins, dealers would probably pay you a bit more.
