Quarks are the elementary particles and in proton and neutron, there are 2 up quark and one down quark in proton and two down quarks and one up quarks in neutron. where as electron is a lepton and so is not a quark. There are 6 types of quark. Up, down, charm, strange, bottom, and top. Written by: Rohan Vaidya

It is not currently confirmed whether quarks are made up of any smaller particles, but a theoretically suggested particle is Rishon.

Two up quarks and one down quark make up which of the following particles?

Yes, contrast to Proton which is made up of Two up and one down quark.

A proton is made of what?

A proton is made up of two "up quarks" and one "down Quarks"

Is a quark part of a proton?

Yes, a proton is built from two up-quarks and one down-quark.

What are neutrons made from?

Neutrons are made up of small quarks, just like a proton, A neutron is made up of three quarks, two down and one up. ( A proton has two up and one down quark.)

What is the electronically neutral particle found in an atom?

That would be the neutron. It resides within the nucleus of the atom, along with the proton. It is very similar to the proton except that it is electrically neutral. (It is made up of quarks, similar to the proton. However, the neutron is made of one up quark and two down quarks, while the proton is composed of two up quarks and one down quark.)

What particles are released from the nucleus when a down quark changes into an up quark?

When a down quark changes into an up quark in the nucleus, a Nestor is changing into a proton. The particles released (for almost all neutron to proton transformations) are an electron and an electron anti-neutrino.

How many up quarks and down quarks do protons have?

A proton is made up of two up quarks and one down quark.

What are 3 particle's of the atom?

The up quark, the down quark, and the electron. Two up quarks and a down quark form a proton, and two down quarks and an up quark form a neutron.

Why neutron is heavier than proton even though both contain three quarks?

The quark composition is different: - proton: 2 up quarks + 1 down quark - netron: 2 down quarks + 1 up quark The down quark is heavier.

Protons and neutrons are made of what?

Protons and neutrons are made from smaller substances called Quarks. A proton is made from 2 "Up quarks" and 1"Down quark" whereas a neutron is made from 2 "Down quarks" and 1 "Up quark".

What part of an atom does not consist of a quark?

The protons and neutrons (which in the atom is in the nuclues) are made from quarks. The proton is built from two up-quarks and one down-quark and the neutron is built from one up-quark and two down-quarks.

How many up and down quarks are in one proton?

There are two up quarks and one down quark in a proton.
