I recently purchased a 1946 Roosevelt dime on eBay for about $4, plus shipping and handling of about $2.50. It was a beautiful coin, with little or no wear. If the coin had been showing a lot of wear and tear, with scratches and gouges in it, the value would have been no more than about $1.

The only pure (99.99%) silver coins are the modern "silver American eagles" that are silver dollars dating from about 1988 to the present.

That's Miss Liberty herself, not a "lady head" - - - but it can't be on a 1946 dime because all dimes from that year to the present carry a picture of Franklin Roosevelt. Miss Liberty was on dimes issued up till 1945.
