What are test tube clamps and what is it used for?
It is a clamp that holds a test tube -- for instance to hold a test tube while heating it without getting burned. It is made from a thick piece of metal wire that is shaped into a spring-loaded clamp to securely hold a test tube.Note the difference between a test tube clamp, and a test tube rack. A clamp is a way to hold a single test tube while heating the contents inside without actually touching the test tube itself. It's used for clamping a buret, of course. I can actually think of three distinct pieces of equipment that could reasonably be called a "buret clamp", and I'm not certain which of them you mean. One of them is a pinch clamp used to clamp the outflow tube (a rubber or plastic tube from the bottom of certain types of burets). Another one is sometimes called a tube clamp, and is a piece of hardware used to secure a glass tube of some kind (such as a buret, but also a test tube or parts of a vacuum manifold) to a metal stand or framework. Finally, there's a specialized spring-loaded piece of hardware used specifically for burets, which holds and supports them in two places on the tube (the tube clamp clamps onto the buret in a single location on the tube).

well they can be used for any number of experiments. mostly used to hold a test tube. you can use this clip thing (i forget what it's called but anyways) and attach one side of the clip to the clamp stand, and tighten the other side of the clip around the test tube. :)

No. A ringstand is a stand with a base with a large pole sticking out of it. that you can attach rings to. A wire mesh is usually placed on the ring for setting a beaker to be heated. A test tube clamp can be attached to the ring stand to hold a test tube, for say, heating it in a hot water bath.
