the theme in this book was about how Sarah, her family and all the other Jews in occupied France 1942 were a part of the vel d'hiv roundup and also that not many ppl such as Julia who were living in France knew about it. The theme in any book is an idea that is there for the entire reading, and in my opinion it was the roundup......hope i helped..

The main theme of "Sarah's Key" by Tatiana de Rosnay is the lasting impact of historical events, particularly the Holocaust, on individuals and families. It explores themes of memory, guilt, and the search for identity and truth in the aftermath of tragedy.

What are some good books with a historical setting that you can read teen fiction if possible?

Sarah's Key by Tatiana de Rosnay is one of my favorite books, and it has to deal with a historical setting. The fictional book tells of the Vel d'Hiv round up in Paris, France. It follows this Jewish family and how they are affected. The author goes back and forth from the present and the past throughout the book. I strongly recommend it.
