The Jeep Wrangler TJ Model was manufactured from 1997-2006. They are the next generation of open body Jeeps after the YJ. In between 2002 and 2003, there were some variations within the engine bay.
The TJ features all around coil springs, compared to the YJ's leaf springs. They have round headlights, like the older CJ's.
The soft top is much quicker to take down than earlier Jeep models, because the top simply folds back instead of requiring complete removal from the body.
The interior of the TJ is more "plush" than the earlier YJ's or CJ's. They feature cloth seats, and the soft top is much quieter than earlier models.
I have no experience with hard tops, but I would assume that they are very quiet, and I have heard that the hard top is able to be installed with the soft top and hardware still attached to the TJ.
