As far as I know there is not a planned release of another season of Code Geass ='(. The ending however depicts alot of things that could lead into another season. We shall never know until it is announced.
The true question is what would it be about. My thoughts would be, the new world needing to change back cause Lelouch (presuming he is still alive) see's that a world can not live on without war, hatred, etc. and tries to change the world back to the way it was causing a conflict with his best friend and eventually an all out war happen's again.

But yes, this isn't meant to be a 'differing' series from codegeass; we still see knightmares at least. but like i said earlier, visit the site stated and the news should be on the main page. ;p

∙ 11y agoUnfortunately no, there will not be a sequel to Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2. Lelouch dies and he creates peace on Earth for everyone. Everyone else lives their lives happily after that. And sadly, the characters that died are not coming back.
However, if you are speaking of something like an "R3", then yes, there will be a spin-off of the series. The new side story is set in a.t.b.2017. A Knightmare unit made of boys and girls from Zone Eleven are thrown into a military operation with a 5% chance of survival. They must rescue an allied unit left behind on the European warfront.
