i am a professional. what you need to know about a sniper is that most snipers are going to be spring powered, unless you get a dragonuv or something else that is electric or gas which i do not recommend. spring powered is the best for snipers, electric for assucalt rifles, and gas for pistols. on spring sniper rifles, it is going to be a bolt action gun, with a very high fps (feet per second) if you get a good company and a gun with a high price. there are no sniper rifles that are good, that are under $150.00. you want a gun from the companies: CA (Classic Army), TM (Tokyo Marui), ICS, and many more. if the gun comes in a package of the gun and the scope its okay. but if it comes with 2 magazines, bi-pod, scope, rail, and like a million more stuff then its crappy. sniper guns should be at least 400 fps or higher. here are some sites: www.airsoftgi.com www.kapowwe.com www.trinityairsoft.com www.echo1usa.com have fun airsofting. :]

There really is no answer to that question, because it is based on opinion and personal preference. An airsoft sniper rifle and an airsoft aeg are two different things, and since aegs can be full or semi auto, and sniper rifle are only bolt action or spring, there really is no comparison. Sniper rifles are more powerful, but aegs have a much higher rate of fire. It all depends on what you want to use and what you like better.

It all depends what your first one is and the quality of it. If your first Airsoft Gun is a AEG, then you should probably but a decent gas pistol for backup. If you decided to become a sniper and you bought a sniper rifle as your first gun then you should look into small battery powered AEGs such as MP5Ks or MP5s. But overall, a good gas pistol would be an overall upgrade to anyones arsenal.
