What is the difference between eccentric and concentric reducer?

Concentric reducers are a symmetrical, conical shaped device that enlarges or reduces a pipes diameter equally about the centerline. An Eccentric reducer is not Symmetrical about the centerline. For example, envision the flow through a gravity based pipe... picture it in terms of an elevation section view... the eccentric reducer maintains the flowline (a straight continuous line along the bottom) while the pipe size decreases from the top down.

What is the difference between elevated water tank and booster pump?

Both are a means of delivering water at an increased pressure. The difference between the two is how they are installed. The water pressure in an elevated water tank system increases as the height of the tank goes higher. As a simple example, get a length of transparent plasticÊhose and fill it with water. Hold both ends of the hose at level then slowly raise one end higher than the other. Water will flow towards the lower end. For a booster pump system, there is no need for elevation. The pump itself is capable of increasing the pressure by pushing water fasterÊusing a hydraulic valve system.

Find offsets with elbows on round ductwork?

adding an elbow is like adding another piece of duct,in other words you will gain length. you have to measure using centers. lets say that you have a duct that you want to make an offset to change your location or elevation, measure the distance from starting point to finish point either end to center or center to center, say your measurement is 12in. end to center, measure the elbow from the end to the center, usually by putting it on a table or againist a wall, say your meas. is 6in. bear in mind that the elbow will fit over the duct, lets say 2in. that means the elbow will add 4in. to your duct, subtact 4in.from your 12in.meas. that leaves you with 8in. of duct to make your offset

How do you produce yaw motion to aircraft?

You use the rudder of the aircraft. The differential pressure of the air flowing around it causes the aircraft to turn in its horizontal plane. The same principle is used for turning a boat. In that case, the differential pressure applied by water is used. An aircraft (fixed wing type or helicopter) can rotate on any 1of it's 3 axis When it rotates on it's vertical axis the movement is called 'yaw'. In a helicopter this is made to happen by giving the rear rotor blade less or more power which causes the body of the Helicopter to turn to the left or right. (yaw) Rotation of any aircraft on it's 'left to right' horizontal axis is called elevation. Rotation of it on it's fore and aft horizontal axis is called 'roll'. The controls can be used to make more than 1of these movements at the same time if the pilot wishes to do so.
