Some Presidential powers are:

1. The President has the unique ability to grant pardons from federal crimes. Presidents can forgive the crimes of an individual as well as well as eliminate their punishment.

2. The President has the ability to select judges to become Supreme Court Justices, though eah nominee must be approved by Congress. Presidents also choose their own Cabinets.

3. The President is the Commander and Chief of the military. As Commander and Chief, he is the authoitative figure in implementing military action within and outside of the United States.

4. The President has the power to sign bills into Law after they pass both the House of Representatives and Senate. Presidents can also prevent bills from becoming laws by using the power to veto bills, though Congress may override Presidential vetos with a 2/3rds majority.
