A bowel movement is the actions of the terminal colon and rectum that help to push the stool out when you defecate. It consists of four steps:
- First there are constrictions of the colon that push stool down to the terminal colon and rectum.
- Then constrictions around the stool elevates the pressure so that you feel an urge to defecate.
- The sphincter muscles around your anus will relax to ease the defecation.
- Then there are constrictions that make the feces go out.
The bovel movement is primarily an automatic action.
The movement of the stool can however be blocked for some time with voluntary contraction of the anal spincter muscles.
When you defecate you will also typically use your abdominal muscles to make pressure and thus aid the defecation process. This is partly a voluntarily controlled action and is not a part of the bowel movement as such.
A normal bowel movement is one where you don't have to strain to defecate, and the stools are not runny. Normal stools tend to be brown in color and should lack foreign objects other than undigested food. So there should be no blood, lumps of fat, worms, nor blood clots in it.
Different colors mean different things. Normal stools are brown. If a person eats a lot of fat or has liver problems, it might be pale. If it is green, then the person likely consumed something that made it that color, though it could also mean liver problems in uncommon cases. Having dark chunks in it is a bad sign as that would mean internal bleeding. Having fresh blood in it likely means injuries to the rectum or anus such as hemorrhoids or a tear. Grey stools that are somewhat of a thick or sticky texture (ie., hard to wipe off) could indicate an iron overdose.
regular bowel movement is what is usual to yourself. everybody is different, most people open their bowel at least once a day whereas for other people it is twice a day - the question should be what is regular to you and if that has changed.
That is when you defecate or "poop." It is when you move "solid" waste out of your body.

Go to the doctor. This is not normal.
is it normal to have a period twice a month and bleed when you had a bowel movement or and bleed heavy and think you pregnant is it because of sex but doing in rectum
Yes. Its normal. Its just from pressure of pushing out the bowel movement.
If you need too!
I think the more bowel movements a day the better you will feel, as long as the bowel movement isn't diarrhea.
Probably not, but please consult with your physician about such matters.
