Heat transfer through moving currents (apex)
Heat transfer through moving currents (apex)
Convection is heat transfer by movement hot matter as compared to cold matter bure to density differences in the presence of a gravity field.

heat transfer through moving currents
convection is the theory that hot things rise and cold things don't. Obviously this doesn't apply to most solids but in liquids and gases this is very real. In a tall room the temperature at the top of the room will be a couple of degrees warmer then at the bottom and convection is actually the basis upon which a boiler works as rather than just running out of water cold water comes out instead because, within the tank, the hot water rises to the top and the cold water remains at the bottom so when all the hot stuff at the top is gone it moves on to the colder water.
Heat transfer through moving currents - Apex Learning
convection is the circular movement of hot and cold airs.
convections purpose it to "recycle" warm and cold air or materials
It's "convection" (not convections),but those are the words used to describe the three methods of heat transfer.
False.
Winds are examples of convections currents
The Earth's core.
They move the hot and colder parts around.
Warm air rises, and cool air sinks.
hot, less dense air rises
convections
the convection currents will stop
They occur in the upper mantle and the convections come from the inner core but travel to the upper mantle.
noting it works (in the science meaning; to cause a change) a lot.
