As far as I am concerned, a clinical pharmacist is someone who has more hands-on patient care. For example, many clinical pharmacists choose a specialty in their residency (for example, pediatrics) so that they can work closely with the patient (in this example, pediatric patients) to make sure that the right prescriptions are called for, the patient and their family has knowledge of the medication, etc. Clinical pharmacists is just one type of pharmacists. One can be a retail pharmacist is which you work in a store setting and give people their prescriptions. One can be a hospital pharmacist in which they make the right type of medications for the patients (ie. syringes, pill form, etc.) with more of a wide variety of medication than a retail pharmacist. There are much more!

Depends on what hospital you are at and how you define "clinical." Hospitals employ two different types of pharmacists: dispensing pharmacists and clinical pharmacists.
