In a general perspective: The initial stage of production for both products will be at the same refinery, from the same raw material. Obviously the lubricating oil has a different composition than petrol/ gas/ combustible fuel, so the difference is at which point in the refinement process the hydrocarbons (molecules composed of carbon and hydrogen) are extracted from the raw material.
After the raw material is heated to a gaseous state, the hot gas will cool as it rises through the distillation column. Since different hydrocarbons have different boiling points, they will condensate at different points in the column and be collected. This is how the compounds used in lubricating oils, fuels, plastics, etc. are separated from the raw material. This process is known as fractional distillation.
These distilled products may undergo further distillation and refinement, and different chemicals may be added prior to shipment to the consumer/industrial markets.
Fuel oil is a blend of heavy intermediate products in a refinery to make a heavy fuel oil. Lube oil is processed from intermediate products to make an oil used for the lubrication of mechanical parts such as car engines, turbines, etc.
there is a small difference in lube ( coming from the latin word: Lubersaph ) and oil, so it isn't a question that you need to know into a matter of substantionary work.
180000 barrels a day maximum. Normally runs about 150000
Saliva is what you lube my dick with. Bodily fluid is what comes out when I stab you for not swallowing.
The lube and service I get at Jiffy Lube told me in the fuel tank... I travel to Mexico a lot and wanted to change it at 20,000 no luck. Greg
Indonesia lube base oil/fuel oil
Two independent studies rated Opti-Lube XPD as the best diesel fuel additive.
Gear lube is thick and meant to cling to a manual transmissions gears, one gear will bring it to the next to lubricate them all. Transmission fluid is hydraulic fluid and is pumped through the system of an automatic transmission, it is thin and red ( usually)
lucas upper cylinder lube and injecton cleaner
The difference between a wax and silicone treadmill lubricant is that a silicone lubricant will last a lot longer. Soft wax is the most commonly used and cheaper than silicone.
Yes, between the stator and rotor.
first, your 'lingo' is the problem... a LOF (lube, oil and filter) consists of 1. drain oil, add new oil 2, replace oil filter with new one. 3. Lubricate the chassis (grease nipples) where it is added to lubricate suspension areas. these vary between cars, and most brands do not have any anymore.
