Eau de parfum -- is a type of perfume with a medium-high concentration of perfumed oils in comparison to the water or alcohol content of the solution. It is made with around 15% concentrated aromatic compounds. This means scented particles suspended in oil. Better eau de parfum has a higher ratio of ethanol to water. It is more expensive. That is because of the higher amount of aromatic compound. It also lasts a lot longer.
Eau de toilette -- is a type of perfume with a medium-low concentration of perfumed oils. It is made with around 10% concentrated aromatic compounds. It generally has more water than ethanol in it. It is less expensive because it is less concentrated. If you love to wear perfume all day, you will probably find that you need to reapply at least once. This of course, can up the overall cost.
Summary:
Eau de perfumes are much stronger in scent and the fragrance lasts much longer than opposed to a Eau de toilette. People who easily become allergic to scents and sprays may prefer a EDT because they are much lighter and less potent than a perfume.

They're the same thing. Just different spellings.
Yes. Eau de Perfume/Parfum is the second strongest scent concentration. In order, from strongest to weakest, they are: Extrait de Parfum Eau de Parfum Eau de toilette Eau de Cologne Eau Fraiche

Soie de parfum tells the buyer that this particular fragrance has anywhere from 15 - 18% perfume oil in alcohol. It's a longest lasting perfume than Eau Fraiche, Eau de Cologne, Eau de toilete or Eau de parfum... Higher levels of perfume would be Parfum, then Extract or Extrait, beyond this would be Perfume Oil which is 15 -30% perfume in oil rather than in alcohol as the rest would be! ;)
"Vaporisateur" is French for "spray bottle." The perfume is the same in either case.

Yes they do smell the same as the bottle perfume because they spray the perfume on the magazine stripes. The strip is usually a higher concentration of the fragrance. So if you like the way it smells on the strip you should buy the eau de parfum if you want a lighter version then buy the eau de toilette. Of course the eau de parfum is more costly but it will last longer.

Go to a department store like Macy's. There are three classical strengths for fragrance. Eau de toilette is the lightest, then eau de cologne and finally parfum.(Men's aftershave is eau de toilette strength.) Perfume has a higher concentration of fragrance so it costs enough more you gotta go to an expensive store to get it.
