Who said they can't? In the UK, students are paid to attend education, usually £30 for one week of full attendance. It helps encourage them to learn and keeps trouble off the streets.
The new test is out of 2400 points, 1500 is about average. "Is it a good score?" This is the wrong question to be asking. Instead, look at the average scores reported by the schools you plan on applying to. Does your score fall into those ranges? A good score will enable you to attend the school you want to attend. Remember, if your score is lower than a school's reported averages it is important to compensate for that low score in other areas of your application like GPA and your personal statement. For more information call The Princeton Review at 18002Review. It really depends on the school you want to go to. For Ivy league, you need higher than a 1900. For 30-100 top national schools, it surely is.

Not with those stats alone, however those are usually a precursor to a good ACT score. A 30 will get you a full tuition scholarship, but beware the cost of living, and other expenses.
6 one hour classes = 6 hours 10 30 min classes = 5 hours
There is no requirement in the question that the classes should be of equal width. Consequently, class widths of 10, 10, 10, 10, 10 and 27 (or 30) will do the trick.

Assuming you take 6 credits next year (for a total of 24 credits), this is not possible. If you get a 4.0 in every class, the highest grade you can get is 2.275, based on this math (1.7x18+4.0x6)/24 = 2.275. As a high school senior, you should have been able to figure this out yourself, which is troublesome. I'm assuming you want to raise your GPA to get into college. I think your best option would be to go to a community college, get your grades up, and transfer to a four year school.
