No, Cache is a redundent copy of information for your phone to access. It allows your phone to access web pages app etc. In a fast and timley manner instead of being slow. When you clear your cache it's like getting you swimming pool and after you are done draining it and refilling it again so you can swim. It takes alot of time and process for your phone to do this. (I heard the analogy somewhere else) It is advised against to clear your cache often because it drains your battery fast.
