Generally speaking, kitchen technology concerns better methods of preparing foods. By this is meant the super hot ovens, better microwaves, better quality blenders. The idea is to make the preparation of foods faster and to avoid having them lose their natural flavors.

What is an example of technology you use in the kitchen?

Any tool that has been developed by science for practical purposes is an example of technology. A knife or a toaster are both examples of technology. However, an example of advanced technology in the kitchen is an electronic shopping list that can be saved to a computer built into a refrigerator and electronically sent to a mobile computer such as a smart phone.A bit more:Lots of things are great examples of technology used in the kitchen, such as microwave ovens, self-cleaning ovens, ovens with self-timers, ceramic stove tops, dishwashers, food processors, cappuccino machines, and even the "older" appliances, such as electric can openers, refrigerators, freezers with ice makers, refrigerators with ice and water dispensers, and electric mixers, to name a few.One of my most recent (and favorite) is my kitchen-calculator. It calculates all sorts of things, such as converting ounces to pounds, etc., metric to english, Fahrenheit to Centigrade, and will even convert ingredients in a recipe for making larger or smaller amounts of a recipe. It has many functions I've not even used yet, and I've used a lot of them. But it's a great (and useful) example of today's kitchen technology.
