The molosser family of Dogs includes Mastiff-type breeds such as the English Mastiff, Dogo Argentino, Dogue de Bordeaux (French Mastiff), Neapolitan Mastiff, Bullmastiff, American Staffordshire Terrier, Fila Brasileiro and Japanese Tosa Inu. Molosser breeds have heavy builds and are usually quite large.

There is a law banning not just Pit bulls. The Molosser family including, the American Pit Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, and English Bull Terrier as well as the Spanish and Argentinean Dogo and any dog with traits derived from such mixes, are banned in the Miami Dade county. It is the law.
