Non-removable means the storage space that is mounted inside the computer chassis. Thumbdrives, CD's and USB hard drive attachments are classified as Removable since they are easily removed from the computer. The internal hard disk is a more permanent storage space. Unfortunately it's a misnomer because even the internal hard drive is "removable"! It just requires tools most times and a little bit more effort.

∙ 13y agoNon removable media is any media that would cause a system halt (blue screen error) if removed while the system is running e.g internal HDD. As opposed to removable media such as USB memory sticks CD/DVDs etc.
