it is the ability to understand others behaviour and actions in accordance with the interaction at hand. similar to cultural relativism, it is the ability to understand ones general cultural background and styles of behaviour in comparison to their own to have an idea of their general norms of behaviours as well as respectable interaction in comparison to their own. and more specifically it is the ability to be aware of ones emotions and so forth that would cause them to interact in certain ways. it is also the ability to have and comprehend others symbolic interactions.
