In Christianity, progressive revelation is the idea that the sections of The Bible that were written earlier do not contain the full revelation of God. The concept is the sections that were written later have a fuller revelation.
Progressive revelation
Progressive revelation simply means that the newer sections of the Bible contain a fuller revelation of God compared to the earlier ones. It is not necessarily important in the reading of Scripture. All of Scripture is profitable for doctrine and practice (2 Tim. 3:16-17) admonishing (Ps. 19:11), building up in the faith (Acts 20:32), comforting (Rom. 15:4), producing faith (John 20:31), and is intended for the use of all persons (Romans 16:26).
