Macros come in handy when dealing with tasks such as a simple booking system for a stadium. For example, you may want to clear one section of the stadium or whatever you can press the macro and it automatically does it for you, so you don't ave to do it manually. You can also assign macros to other tasks in Excel so you don't get frustrated doing tasks manually.

Macros can be complicated to build, so you need the knowledge to do it. Learning it can be a long process. If a macro is not done right you could do some damage to your document.
