This code indicates that the passenger side of the engine is running lean for some reason. This is the HO2 sensor mounted on the exhaust manifold.
Since it only affects one side, I suspect a vacuum leak. Check all of the hoses. I've heard quite a few reports of the PCV hose cracking on the 4.6L. You may want to check that first.
Another thing to look at is the A/C condensor dripping onto the O2 sensor. That could set this code also.
fuel air metering p1131 is code showing up
Trouble code P1131 means: Lack Of HO2S11 Switches - Sensor Indicates Lean
P1131 - Manufacturer control fuel air metering - Swirl Control
Trouble code P1131 means: Lack Of HO2S-11 Switch,Sensor Indicates Lean
Trouble code P1131 means: Lack Of HO2S11 Switches - Sensor Indicates Lean
Trouble code P1131 means: Lack Of HO2S11 Switches - Sensor Indicates Lean
This indicates that your left pre-catalytic converter Oxygen sensor is bad. P1131 and P1113 are pre-cat sensors, Bank 1 & Bank 2 sensor 1. Please refer to the diagram in the link below. http://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/2770872.phtml They are anywhere from $70-200+ dollars and should be changed in pairs.
P1131 code does not show up in the book. There is a code for P0131 which is the heated 02 sensor or circuit fail.
Trouble code P1131 means: Lack Of HO2S11 Switches - Sensor Indicates Lean
Trouble code P1131 means: Lack Of HO2S11 Switches - Sensor Indicates Lean
Trouble code P1131 means: Lack Of HO2S11 Switches - Sensor Indicates Lean
p1131 = lack of HO2S11 switches - sensor indicates lean
