7.2 megapixels
A good quality high resolution scanner (600-1200 dpi) will almost always reproduce a film or printed image better than any camera could.
In order to find a high resolution world map, you should search for high resolution world map on an online search engine under "images." Most image websites will allow you to specify the resolution of the image.
As we know,Clarity of the image is decided by its Spatial Resolution but not by Pixel Resolution. CT have high Spatial Resolution but MRI have comparable Spatial Resolution to CT&far better Contrast Resolution than CT-So,MRI is the BEST to demonstrate Anatomy, especially in parts containing more soft tissue[Eg:Brain]&CT is the BEST to demonstrate Bony Anatomy.
Most land areas in Google Earth are covered in satellite imagery with a resolution of about 15 meters per pixel and highest resolution is 1 inch per pixel. At the highest resolution of once-inch resolution where each pixel represents one inch (or 2.54 centimeters). It won't appear blurry until you descend below 50 feet or so. Most of the high-resolution imagery is aerial photography taken from aircraft flying at 800-1500 feet rather than from satellites. See KML in related links to see examples of each resolution.
yes when the first came out but now compare to today they are low resolution
A satellite photograph is a photograph or image taken by earth orbiting satellite with special high resolution cameras. The GeoEye-1 satellite has the highest resolution of any commercial imaging system and is able to collect images of the Earth with a ground resolution of 0.41 meters (or 16 inches) in the panchromatic or black and white mode.
resolution is the number of pixels in a photograph- for example 10 MP means 10 million pixels (picture elements)
The higher the pixels the higher the quality so the larger the photo will be to accommodate the high resolution

Depends on what you plan to do with the scanned picture. If you are sending via email or posting on a website then 800x600 would be fine. If you plan on editing then as high as you can without killing your machine. The higher the resolution the bigger the file and some PCs really chew on those large files for a while

Mere magnification without added detail is scientifically useless, just as endlessly enlarging a small photograph may not reveal any more detail, but only larger blurs. The usefulness of any microscope is that it produces better resolution than the eye. Resolution is the ability to distinguish two objects as separate entities, rather than seeing them blurred together as a single smudge.
Resolution is picture resolution and vertical resolution is number of pixels on y axis.
The park's official website has an interactive aerial map (see the Related Link below). The map is actually a zoomable, digital version of the famous aerial photograph of Central Park, which shows the entire park and the surrounding city streets in high resolution. Like, gloriously high resolution. You can literally see each individual tree. There's also a hand-drawn map and a runner's map, further down the page. And you can purchase a copy of the aerial photograph, "the most famous photo of Central Park in the world."
A lot! Honestly, with some good quality, anywhere from 2,500-10,000
