I would suggest the Canon EOS 5D Mark2.

Answer . The focal length is an important consideration because all DSLRs do not have the same size image sensor. For a camera with a full frame sensor, a given focal length will provide a magnification, angle of view and depth of field similar to a 35mm film SLR. For cameras with smaller sensor…s, the magnification is increased by a factor of from 1.3 to 1.6. The angle is more narrow and the depth is likely also affected. This is more bang for the buck if magnification is desirable, but when you need a wide angle, such as a 24 or 35 mm lens, the size factor works against you. So you will get an angle of view more like you would see with a full frame sensor at 35mm x 1.6 or 56mm (not very wide). Fortunately manufacturers have produced a new series of lenses to give an extra wide angle of view for these bodies and sensors. Care must be taken if you plan to use the lens on more than one camera, as some DSLR lenses extend deeper into the body (closer to the path of the mirror) and may not work on all cameras. These will often have some marking to indicate that they are for digital only, which signifies that the dimensions are unique. A good lens for any SLR camera should be sharp and have a useful range of F-stops or apertures. Sharpness is part glass quality, lens shape (Spherical vs aspherical) and number of elements and type of coatings used. Smaller f-stop numbers (or large apertures) give faster shots in lower light and help to blur the background. While the larger number (smallest aperture) determines the maximum depth under any conditions. The widest f-stop will also dictate whether your lens will still auto focus with a tele-extender. So check compatibility. These factors all have to be balanced against the cost and proportions of the lens. A heavy lens may require that a tripod is mounted at the lens instead of the camera. They can be cumbersome and obvious, making it hard to get candid shots. Lenses for full frame bodies tend to be more in the bulky category, but can be worth it. Some 'digital' lenses have an extra coating designed to cut ghost due to the refective nature of the image sensor. There are differing opinions as to whether of not this is necessary. But there do not seem to be disadvantages. Auto focus speed is determined by the type of motor and gears. This also affects cost. The type of mechanism can affect how long your batteries last or whether you have enough battery power for the lens to work as intended. You need fast focus for action shots. Some lenses have image stabilization. Not all stabilization designs are equal and sometimes that feature as already in the body. The filter size is another factor. Does the lens take a filter which is expensive and hard to locate, or is it common and maybe the same size used with your other lenses? Check the location of the manual focus and zoom controls. Are they easy to use? Does the price include a sturdy case and a lens hood? Kind of wordy I know, but there is much to consider. (MORE)
You could either go to a sony outlet store, wait for best buy to have an open box sale, or have your go with ebay!
Compact cameras are "point and shoot". SLRs usually require more manual input. In compact cameras, the lens is fixed to the camera. In SLRs, the lens is separate that you have to put on.
Match the film characteristics to the lighting, presentation and other circumstances. General photography under moderate to bright sunlight or strong flash: daylight film, about ISO100; overcast daylight, moderate indoor lighting or flash, about ISO400. Consider professional color film for portraitu…re/weddings if you can find VPS or an equivalent. Tungsten balanced film if the lighting is tungsten (or if the lighting is mercury vapour and you prefer blue lights over green). Experiment: finish the last shot on a roll then switch to a different brand and take the SAME shot again with the same lighting. Note any differences for future reference. For example, you may find that Fuji produces more vivid greens/blues than the same speed and type of Kodak film. As for presentation, slides make for impressive showing. Buy fresh and stick to well known brands that have not sat in the variety store window in full sun (yes, I've seen that!). (MORE)
There are many different DSLR brands out there, and different people all have different opinions on what is the best brand. In my opinion, the Canon EOS series has the best line of DSLR camera. The camera body really makes no difference though, it all has to do with the eye of the photographer and t…he type of lens used. (MORE)
The D stands for digital. DSLR's use a digital sensor for saving the image instead of photographic film
it's not necessarily the camera that matters as much as the lens. If you are really into landscape photography you will need a wide angle lens.
Put it in a large bag of rice for four days and take the battery out of the camera (but the battery goes in the rice as well). DO NOT TURN IT ON or try to use a blow dryer. I know it seems a little weird, but it totally works. It worked for me. The rice soaks up the moisture.
Really broad question... what kind of filter? What are you going to use it for? The most commonly used type of filter on a dslr is a polarizing filter. This is the equivalent of wearing sunglasses. Clouds are whiter, skies are bluer, and the whole image is darker. Many people recommend using a… clear filter to protect the lens. This isn't great advice and NO pros do this because it reduces sharpness and contrast, and also makes lens flares more common. (MORE)
Canon eos 5d mark II is good for great photos and decent Video. Especially with the full frame sensor depth of field. For the best quality Video you want the Panasonic GH2, especially with the hack which makes the detail very close to film. Learn about the Hack and the video Quality Here : http://osgfilms.com/hack-the-panasonic-gh2/ The GH2 is often regarded as the perfect Hybrid. Nikon has some of the most user friendly dslr cameras to just pick up and shoot while Panasonic has the more advanced learning curves with too many features to count. Canon i would say is in the middle in terms of difficulty. (MORE)
It depends on the brand of camera and the type of lens.. Most Nikon film SLR lenses will work (in manual mode) on their digital SLR cameras.. Many Canon lenses will work on new Canon SLR cameras, but you have to check compatability between the camera model and the type of lens.. Sony purhcased th…e Minolta digital camera division, so all Sony Alpha DSLRs will use Minolta lenses. (MORE)
dont really know what you mean.... but one method is to take two exposures, one with the subject in sharp focus, another with out of focus image (same subject) and combine the two images with a mask in photoshop.. another effect is to use a double exposure, and throw one out of focus.. both techn…iques require still-life subjects and a tripod. otherwise, blur is generally to be avoided in photography, but can be caused by camera or subject movement, bad focus, zooming during exposure, or having dirty filters on lenses, shooting through screen doors... etc. (MORE)
If you are transferring it onto a camera with the same mount then yes. But be aware AUTO FOCUS MAY NOT WORK CORRECTLY. The aperture of the lens may not be as good either. But overall you should be OK. Good Luck
Its between the Canon MKIII and the Panasonic GH2 For Video the canon gives subpar 720p resolution even in 1080p while the GH2 resolves very fine detail and in 1080p cinema mode can look as detailed as a RED camera. However even though the detail is far greater in the GH2 many prefer the look of …the MKIII due to the full frame sensor. The canon has better photo while the GH2 has the best Video on any DSLR and is the top choice if you plan to shoot video more than photo. In terms of latitude they are similar. Best? There's no such thing! There are only opinions when it comes to a question like this. My opinion? Look into a Canon Rebel XS or a Nikon D3000. They're both great . Personally, I'm a fan of the Canon system. I own a 5D MkII and a 30D, so I'm partial to Canon. But no matter how much I love C…anon, there's so many people out there that love Nikon just as much! The Nikon D3100 Digital Camera with 18-55mm has been said to be especially made for first time DSLR (Digital Single Lens Reflex) users. But your looking at spending between £300-£500. A single lens reflex (SLR) is a camera that uses the same set of lenses to both focus the image on the CCD (digital) and enable the photographer to frame the picture. That is to say, when you look through the viewfinder of a DSLR you are looking directly at the object through the main lens. You are …not looking at the digitally re-created picture of the object or through some other lens that is off-center of the main lens. A point-and-shoot camera will have some other mechanism for framing the picture. (MORE)
DSLR stands for " digital single lens reflex" and are the modern equivalents of the film based single lens reflex cameras. As the name suggests, they are digital and use an electronic sensor as any other digital camera does. The difference between DSLRs and other digital cameras is in the way the p…hotographer sees images in preparation to take a picture. A single lens reflex camera uses a mirror positioned behind the lens to direct the light onto a viewing screen. The viewfinder delivers an image using the same lens as that used to capture a picture. When the shutter is released, the mirror moves out of the light path, the image is captured and the mirror returns to its normal position. The photographer sees the viewfinder go dark for a fraction of a second. Other digital cameras use a separate optical viewfinder or have a display on the rear of the camera that shows whatever the sensor is viewing. A DSLR tends to be much larger than other types of digital camera but they share many features such as auto-focus, auto--exposure, manual overrides and so on. The SLR is designed to be a robust and flexible camera and generally there will be a wide range of lenses and other accessories that other compact digital cameras do not have. Although many compact digital cameras produce excellent pictures and are of outstanding quality, the DSLR is the camera that lends itself to the professional and serious amateur photographer by providing flexibility and because of the accuracy of the viewfinder compared to those of a compact camera. In my opinion the best DSLR camera for a beginner would be the Canon Rebel T3i. It has a swing out LCD screen, Built-In wireless flash control and several filter modes. The camera and lens package runs about $600.
The photo quality can be the same, but with a mirrorless camerasuch as a Rangefinder, what is seen in the viewfinder will beslightly offset from the final result. A DSLR's viewfinder showswhat is in the lense.
The Canon EOS 600D or Canon EOS 1100D have good reviews as a camera for beginners. They have good picture quality, sensor control and are not too expensive.
