Most people fish for bass with artificial lures. Some of the best include Plastic Worms, spinnerbaits, and crankbaits. You can also use live bait like live shiner, or worms work well to.

Right now, the hottest bait around is Zoom bait company's Ultravibe Speedcraw. Texas or Carolina rigged, it's a real killer for bass.

Raw bacon works great. They grab on and won't let go, so if you tie a piece of bacon onto the end of a piece of string, you can catch them without a trap or hook. Cast it out just like you'd do with a whip for normal fishing, but remember to let go and grab onto it again. Wait a minute and you'll get 1-3 Crayfish.

Traditionally crayfish traps in most countries are baited with fish. Swedes use sunfish, shiners and herring while Louisiana Cajuns often entice the crawfish with gizzard shad and pogies (menhaden). A commercial crayfisherman on the West Coast catches his crayfish with salmon heads and other oily fish. It depends on the size of your catch because chicken and squirrels also work.

Tie a limpet on to a piece of string drop it into a deep enough rock pool and pull it up after 2 minutes for a crab. ( limpets are like shells that are stuck to rocks)
