There isn't exactly a "best camera" that you can use on close-up photos. Any camera with a good zoom that has good clarity too would work. If you are talking about close-ups for like Nature scenes if you have a camera with a Flower mode, Or nature scene mode, or scenery mode put it on one of those modes and experiment! Taking photos is fun!

Aside from being a matter of personal preference, it depends on the film format. Since you didn't specify, I will suggest 100 to 135mm for 35mm film and 150mm to 200mm for 120 film.
