sunflower seeds.
Sunflower seeds only would be the WORST possible thing you could feed a lovebird or any bird, way too fatty!! My lovies like a combination of nutriberries, avicakes and fresh foods like lean protein with no seasoning or sauce (chicken), and fruits and veggies (apple, cucumber, lettuce etc) in small quantities. I give millet and sunflower seeds rarely as treats. No avocado, no chocolate.
You need 2 birds for your aviary. Get 2 lovebirds or 2 parakeets. Parakeets are probably best because they are really playful.
Lovebirds are native to Africa. If you wish to buy one they are available in most pet stores, but beware they are probably not hand fed or tame. If you want a Lovebird for a pet you are best to go to a breeder and buy a hand-fed baby. Do a search for Lovebirds for sale, or visit our website http://www.qtaviary.com, we often have babies for sale and links to other breeders.
It is best to have one lovebird so you don't have to watch them snogging
It's not easy, because there aren't any ways to tell lovebird's sex from it's appearence. Behavior can say something, but certain way is DNA-test, or is the bird lays an egg, or pair of birds have chicks.putang ina alang kwenta mader pak bits alang matinong sagot punyeta
The best cage is a small budgie cage.
Mother lovebirds may or may not feed a baby that is returned after a day. Parrots are intelligent creatures, but there is no way to determine if she will accept the baby back. It's best to leave them with her.
Lovebirds LOVE standard bird seed, and feast on sunflower seeds. They also like some raw fruits and vegetables. They can't eat everything ! DON'T feed them avocado, for instance. When in doubt about feeding them something new... don't ! Best thing is to call your favorite bird specialist.
