There are actually many ways you can get curly hair without having to use a curling iron everyday. A permanent wave, also known as a perm, is a chemical hair treatment that can be used to add curl and body to your hair. The hair is put on rollers or perm rods to shape it and then perm lotion is put on the hair and that breaks and then reforms the disulphide bonds your hair that naturally make it straight. In other words the chemicals soften the inner structure of the hair by reacting with the keratin and breaking (and then reforming links between protein chains in your hair). Breaking these bonds causes the hair to expand and stretch and take the shape it is held in by the rods. Understand your own hair. Secondly you can, when your hair is wet, get a good product that will hold your hair like a mousse and take a section of hair at the nape of your neck. Rub some mousse on your hands and take an inch of that section and twist it around your finger into a curl, do the rest of that section like this. Take another section and continue to repeat this until all the hair is done. It is important to let it dry naturally because a blow dryer will undo all your hard work. This is an effective and natural way to get wavy/curly hair.

∙ 13y agoyou can curl it round a pencil or toilet roll tube depending on how thick you want your curls, then hairspray it.
if you don't want hard hair, you can simply use ghd's and twist them round your hair - if you do it right.

∙ 13y agoAfter you take a shower, put in leave in conditioner then, put your hair in a bun for about 2 minutes then twirl your hair into a bun. (if you want bigger curls do less buns, if you want smaller curls do more buns. i do about 4 buns and i works great!) Then leave it in for about 30 minutes (depends how much curl you want if you want long lasting curls leave it in for longer.) Then after about 30 minutes let your hair down and you should have curly/wavy hair.( if you want it to last really long put in mouse or hairspray!)
-you don't need to put in mouse, hairspray, or leave in conditioner. (it is only if you want it to last longer.)
