Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) is a group of symptoms that are caused by the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV). The Virus is passed person to person by close personal/ Intimate contact. Sex, contact with blood, Transfusion's etc.

The Virus can degrade the human immune response & make it's victims very susceptible to other disease & common illnesses. Once weakened the body often dies from common Cancers & Pneumonia. not FROM THE HIV VIRUS ITSELF.

You get HIV (the virus) if someone who is infected, gets any of their body fluids into your system (not including Saliva). HIV later becomes AIDS. A person can have the HIV virus in them for their whole lives and still live to be about 80 - it all depends on when it comes out and becomes AIDS.

If a mother has AIDS - she is likely to give it to her baby. There are treatments to stop mother-to-child infection that is 98% effective.

Research has shown that AIDS originally comes from monkey DNA, so it probably originated from monkey DNA mixing with human DNA.
