Human males continue to make sperm throughout their lifetime from the time they first hit puberty. That's a lot of sperm. There are a few things, however, which can damage and/or halt the production of sperm. The basic one is damage to the testicles such as a direct impact, boiling and radiation. If these cells are killed off say sianara to new tadpoles. While these may not seem like very typical events keep in mind that a lot of fights involve strikes to the groin, athletes like to soak in a hot tub and even the occasional X-ray can add up. Although these things aren't always permanent, they are effective. People even use heating pad briefs as a form of Birth Control. It cuts way down on the number of healthy and mobile sperm.

There are other reasons which are less likely such as ingesting certain poisons and defective physiology. The first reasons, however, are far more typical.
