As the plot is resolved, Dorothy, the lead character wakes up at her home and relates the entire fantastic story to her family. The whole thing was a nightmare- as she recaps the basic tale- this might be construed to be a flashback in cinematic usage but not a visual flashback. The whole thing was a nightmare- hence no sequels are possible.

Rising action refers to the action between the conflict, or dilemma, and the Shakespearean climax, or the high point of the story. The Shakespearean climax takes place about midway through the story. Technically, it occurs when Dorothy, Toto, the Tin Woodman, the Scarecrow, and the Cowardly Lion meet with the Wizard. But the Wizard says that he can do nothing without the death of the Wicked Witch of the West. So actually, the Shakespearean climax takes place with the Witch's death.
So rising action begins with Dorothy and Toto knowing that somehow they must get back to Kansas, and thinking that the resolution will be meeting with the Wizard of Oz, and then killing the Witch.
The fallling action refers to the action between the Shakespearean climax, and the story's resolution. It therefore takes in all that follows the melting of the Wicked Witch of the West, and precedes Dorothy's clapping the heels of the Silver Slippers together, for transport back home to Kansas. The falling action therefore includes the fivesome's return from the Yellow Castle of the Wicked Witch of the West, to the Emerald City; and their journey from the Emerald City to the Land of the Quadlings, for help from Glinda the Good Witch of the North. They thereby survive adventures with the Fighting Trees, the Dainty China People, the grand old Forest, and the Hammer-Heads.
So the falling action runs from the high point midway through the story, to the climax, or high point, at the end.

it ends with the scarecrow being made king of Oz and Dorothy and "The Wizard" leaving in a hot air balloon. but then Toto jumps out of the basket as they are taking off and when Dorothy goes to retrieve him the wizard is unable to land again to let her back in. Glinda the good comes along and tells her that she can get home by clicking her heels together 3 times and saying "there's no place like home." Dorothy wakes in her own bed surrounded by family and farm hands (who look a lot like the characters from Oz) and tells them about Oz, but is told by Aunt Em that it was all a dream.

Dorothy's clapping her heels together and saying, "Take me home to Aunt Em," is the climax in "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz."

Specifically, the climax refers to the final resolution of the original dilemma: What to do to get back home? In contrast to the classical definition, the Shakespearean climax is a high point midway through the story. Midway through "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz" is Dorothy's interview with the Wizard and the latter's instructions to kill the Wicked Witch of the West. But the Shakespearean climax may be seen as actually occurring close to that point, but some pages later, when Dorothy melts the Wicked Witch of the West with a bucket of water. As a consequence, Dorothy and her friends lose their way, and that makes the other half of the story possible.

The denouement is the wrapping-up or winding-down of most major and minor storylines in a plot, and usually comes after the climax and which leads up to the conclusion.

So in the classic 'Wizard Of Oz' film(it's been a while since I read the book and don't know of any other major adaptations that could be referenced here), it would be the unveiling of the Wizard as a fraud, and the giving of gifts by the Wizard to Dorothy and her friends, basically.

This comes after the final climactic confrontation between Dorothy and the Witch, and functionally closes all extant storylines down involving the other characters(Scarecrow's brain, Lion's courage, etc); with the exception of the minor glitch of the Wizard leaving Dorothy behind, she subsequently finds out that she can finally go home(and thus end the story completely).

That Dorothy Gale gets safely back home is the conclusion of 'The Wizard of Oz'. Along more or less the same lines, it's the end to the original 1900 book edition and the beloved 1939 film version. But the film going audience is left with the possibility that Dorothy may or may not have imagined her adventures in the beautiful, enchanted, magical land of Oz.

The destruction of the Wicked Witch of the West of "The Wizard of Oz."

Specifically, this is the turning point in both the original 1900 book edition and the beloved 1939 movie version. It offers the five friends a chance to turn the tide in their favor. In the book, it runs from Chapters 10 through 13. It takes in the five friends having their interviews with the Wizard, making their way from the Emerald City to the Yellow Winkie Country of western Oz, overcoming the witch and returning to the Emerald Palace.
