The climax of the story is the main part. It's when most problems in the story are resolved, or are about to be resolved. Perhaps it is the most exciting part of the story.

In the conventional analysis of narrative structure, stories begin with "exposition" (setting the stage and introducing the characters) followed by "rising action" (sequence of developments that create interest in the story), which is followed by the "climax" (the release or resolution of the rising action), and finally the "denouement" (coming back down from the tension).

Take a well-known story such as "Star Wars": the exposition introduces us to Luke Skywalker on his aunt and uncle's farm. The rising action includes his encounter with the droids and Leia's message, meeting Obi-Wan and Han Solo, and the destruction of Alderaan and being caught on the Death Star. The climax is the moment that his proton torpedoes make it into the exhaust port of the Death Star, resulting in its destruction. The denouement shows Han, Luke, and Chewbacca at an award ceremony.

In Titanic, the exposition was knowing about Jack's and Rose's background and circumstances. Tension begins to rise both as their love begin to grow, and as there are hints given that the ship is not that safe after all. The CLIMAX is when the ship actually hits the iceberg and starts to sink. The ending is that Jack dies, Rose is rescued and Jack lives on in her memory.

In Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, the climax is when Harry comes face to face in a fight against Voldemort.

In Beauty and the Beast, the climax is when the Beast has a fight with Gaston, gets hurt, and Belle admits her love to him, which turns him back into a prince.

In Richard III by Shakespeare, the climax is the war between his army and Richmond's until Richard is killed.

In Julius Caesar - again by Shakespeare - there are actually two climaxes. The first is the murder of Caesar, and the second is the war between Brutus and Anthony, until Brutus is killed.

The climax (from the Greek word "κλῖμαξ" (klimax) meaning "staircase" and "ladder") or turning point of a narrative work is its point of highest tension or drama or when the action starts in which the solution is given.

The turning point, when the story changes

It means the key moments, within the book, movie etc. The most effective or what the story is really made for.

The climax is the height of the action and also the turning point in a story, imagine a pyramid, climbing up would be the rising action, the top of the pyramid would be the climax, then you would have to go down and that's the turning point and the falling action,

The part you's want to read most! the most exciting part! the part you took the story to read for!
A climax is the most interesting/thrilling part of the story.it is the emotional high point of the story.
The climax of a story is the thing that makes you curious and leads you to the conflict of the story
The climax of the story is the turning point of the story; the moment when the ultimate suspence reaches its peak.

climax is the problem of the story.

Many believe the climax is the most intense or interesting part of the movie. This is a common mistake as the climax is when the theme is proven, which commonly is the most interesting or memorable scene. After the climax, the story cannot be proven anymore, or there is no more story to tell other than the conclusion. [Example Lord of the Rings - when The Hobbit finally destroys the ring is the climax. The theme is, "Even the smallest person in the world can make the biggest difference."
It is the most interesting part in a book
