There is a very simple way of memorising the colours of the rainbow. Just remember, VIBGYOR where V-Violet, I-Indigo, B-blue, G-Green, Y-Yellow, O-Orange and R-Red.

Their order in the rainbow is ROYGBIV, but it is easier as VIBGYOR. You simply have to reverse the order.
