It is About a Boy named Hakeem Randall who moves from California to Detroit because, his father is sick and they cannot afford there house so, they come live with their uncle.He didnt like living with his uncle and cousin because him and Savon really didnt get along.Hakeem liked playing the guitar,and singing ,but Hakeem had studdering problems,he dont studder when he sings.They didnt get along because hakeem always thought Savon was a follower and he always did the wrong things. Savon is Hakeems cousin. They were very close when they were younger, however they have lost contact. While they're in Detroit Savon and Hakeem don't get along that well and turns up that they got into a fight and everyone thinks Savon is up to no good. When Hakeem got there he wonder why Savon was being mean to him. He also meets this girl next door who he thinks is pretty. He teaches her how to play guitar. It's a way for him to relive stress and have a fun time with her. Savon had been sneaking around came home late at night. So Uncle James asked him to find out what Savon was up to. There had been robberies almost all the stores on Main Street except his father furniture store , the store where Hakeem does all his requirement work at.
