Well, my name is Alicia and I currently attend Andover. I was accepted to both Exeter and Andover, but I obviously chose Andover. My brother goes to Exeter right now and he tells me that it is very tough and busy there. He tells me at the campus is wonderful though.
Exeter is a pretty tough school to go to and it is very stressful too. He says that getting an A is quite impossible.
Well, again, I don't quite know about Exeter since I am a current student at Andover.

∙ 13y agoPhillips Academy (usually referred to as Andover) and Phillips Exeter Academy (usually referred to as Exeter) are two completely different schools. They have a rivalry against each other. Exeter was founded by John Phillips and Andover by Lieutenant Governor Samuel Phillips Jr. John Phillips was Samuel Phillips's Uncle.

Yeah, tons!!! I go to boarding school, and mine is really cool! A lot of International schools are boarding schools and you meet people from all around the world and it makes you a very well rounded person. Very good!
How hard is it to get into Phillips Exeter Academy?
Exeter is pretty hard to get into. It's got an acceptance rate of 17% and most applicants have an average SSAT score in the 91st percentile. To get in you have to have great grades of more A's then B's. Also you should do some sort of sport or play an instrument. You could probably get away with an -A average if you go to a really good private school, but don't slack off. Also some years Exeter will admit a football player over a musician because it needs a player on the team. So even if you get straight A's, play three sports and two instruments, you're not guaranteed a spot. But apply and hope for the best.
