Proviruses and prophages are similar in that they both insert their genetic material into the nucleus of the host cell. Prophages do this in bacteria only, and can also convert to lytic reproduction. In lytic reproduction the genetic material leaves the nucleus as the cell is destroyed. In proviral reproduction the genetic material will permanently remain in the nucleus.

The Bernstein Diet is a diet developed by a Canadian physician. The diet is only available through clinics located in Canada and the USA. The diet claims to help you lose 4-5 lbs by paying 3 visits a week to one of their clinics. During your visits you receive vitamin injections and it is claimed that only fat is lost during the diet and everything important remains in tact. More information can be found at this site: http://www.everydiet.org/diet/bernstein-diet. It gives details and a comprehensive food list.

What is a lysogenic bacteriophage?

Lysogenic is when the virus enters and binds into the hosts DNA and one could replicate slowly or two when the virus sense the host cell is about to die, the virus will go into lyic cycle and replicate and kills the host cell.

What is the function of bacteriophage?

The function of bacteria is to reproduce. Bacteria is a large domain of prokaryotic microorganisms. They are also the cause of human and animal diseases. Some bacteria, like those in the intestines are friendly and needed for digestion.

What does the term resolving power refer to?

The question is about the resolving power of optical instruments like telescope and microscope. It is the ability of the instrument to resolve the images of two points that are close to each other. If dθ is the angular separation, resolving power is given by the formulaR = 1/dθ = D/1.22 λ where Dis the aperture of the objective; λ is the wavelength of the light .

Which suture connects the occipital and parietal bones?

The suture that goes in between the two parietal bones (left and right) is called the saggital suture. That is the main suture that runs in the middle of the top of your head. The parietal bones articulate with the occipital bone at the lambdoidal suture and with the temporal bones (left and right where the ears are), at the squamosal suture. Finally the parietal bones both meet with the frontal bone at the coronal suture. But the main suture between the parietals again is the saggital suture.Lambdoidal suture connects the two parietal bones together.

Do all germs and viruses belong to unicellular or multicellular cells?

Firstly, viruses aren't cells. They're nucleic acids packaged in proteins. They can infect and reproduce themselves unicellular or multi-cellular organisms, depending on which virus you're talking about. Influenza, for example, is a virus that can reproduce in humans (multicellular organisms). Phage lambda, meanwhile, infects bacteria (unicellular organisms). 'Germs' is a bit of a catch-all term. Most infectious organisms are unicellular, bacteria, protists and so on.
