What is the difference between eastern and western parents?

eastern parents are more strict and the children are more passive and obey their parents, respect their elders while in western we have more pride and don't really listen to our beloved parents

Well I can't really give an offical answer on this since I don't know how you mean..as in what context (love?)

One thing I do know that may be helpful to you and the reason why im posting is this.

In the eastern world sometimes making direct eye contact with people is considered rude because they are very kind of shy people..also one thing that may be the reason why is in the western world there isn't democracy a lot of the time so certain people may hold a lot of power in the western world and it may be considered rude to look them in the eyes or stare without a kind of sign of approval.

Which could be why if you're asking this because you are into an Asian girl she won't just look at you and smile she may look away quickly or what have you.

The Difference between Eastern and Western Parents is that Eastern parents place more emphasis on hard work and education. Western parents are more lenient and laid back and don't really expect much from their children. Where as Eastern parents expect their children to make something of themselves either through marriage or work.

There are a number of "rites" within the Catholic Church. All of them are ancient, about the only surviving rite in the western Church is the Latin Rite. The eastern Catholics have several surviving rites: Maronite, Armenian, Coptic, etc. The difference is in language, rules, customs, etc.
