What is the difference between style and design in interior design?
Style is the way you express the design, its design that creates different types of styles, style can be refered as sort of taste and mood in design, but the word design it self is very general.

That's a great question, and the answer is simpler than you might think. Many interior designers also do decoration (wall coverings, furniture choice, color ideas, decorative …items, art work etc.) but an interior designer will also be able to supervise and plan out a more large scale project, including a major renovation. These days, there are general contractors who are also interior designers and window treatment firms that consider themselves decorators. So the answer is, be less concerned with the terminology on the business card and more attentive to the professional designation of the designer/ decorator. This designation will be determined by the level and type of education that the person has, rather than what they refer to themselves as when pitching for business.

No one really knoes for sure how it started but we can imagine that it was simply the wealthy people who wanted nice & exotic furniture in their homes. Even the ancient… Romans & Egyptions who had money were known to have had exquisite and in-style of the time furniture and general living spaces
Very simply put, an Interior Design is an "interior architect". They preform the same tasks as an architect does, except on the inside. They are more concerned about building …codes and safety laws than they are with matching curtains. An Interior Decorator is known as a "pillow tosser". Their main focus is on how something looks, not the actual structure.
Architecture incorporates aspects beyond interior design such as: structure, weathertightness, site and social contexts, services (electricity, plumbing etc), building form.… Aspects that are in common include: materials, finishes, furnishings, cabinetry, ergonomics, space planning Answer: Architecture is about the science and art of building essentially. An architect needs to understand how structures are put together, by distributing loads and forces in a propper structural balanced way, as to ensure they design a safe and enjoyable building. This involves an understanding of structural engineering to achieve. Lots of Architects actually design interiors of the buildings they design too, so as they both 'speak the same language' and compliment each other and work together well. While an Architect can do interior design too, an interior designer cannot do an architects job, as its goes far beyond design skills. An Architect needs to have skills in a much broader area than the interior designer, as I have touched on earlier.
they are the same thing. one is a profession the other is the professional basically
interior designers may decorate, but decorators do not design
Interior architects and interior designers can actually perform very similar services, but an interior architect is a licensed architect that specializes in interior design. T…he breadth of skills that can be legally offered to a client is therefore greater where the interior architect can also do structural calculations, site work, life safety analysis and other skills that interior designers are not licensed to do (regardless of how competent they are at performing them). The skills that can be performed legally by interior designers varies from state to state. In some states, for commercial interior projects a licensed interior designer can complete and seal a set of construction drawings. In other states, only a licensed architect can perform this task. Both interior designers and interior architects should be very skilled at space planning; locating the non-load bearing walls, lighting selection, power and data cable planning, finish selections, furniture selections and art selection.
