21 miles. This is the best way to get there: From the airport, EXIT and follow signs to U.S. 59. You will be going on Will Clayton Pkwy.Stay to the right on Will Clayton Pkwy… and then turn right onto U.S. 59 which is designated as the DOWNTOWN FREEWAY. U.S. 59 is about 3 miles past the airport.Take U.S. 59 SOUTH to the EXIT for JACKSON ST to DOWNTOWN DESTINATIONS.Exit at Jackson St and take Jackson St to Congress St. Make a right. This is where you can't go any further.Take Congress St to the second light that you approach which is La Branch St. Turn right onto La Branch St.Take La Branch St 3 blocks down to Texas St. Turn right onto Texas St.Take Texas St to Avenida De Las Americas (second light). Turn right.Take Avenida De Las Americas to the George R. Brown Convention Center. It will be on your left a few lights past Texas St.
Whether you mean Galveston Airport or the Port of Galveston, it would be cheaper to rent a car than take a metered cab ride. If you find an independent cabbie, you can negotia…te a flat rate for the fare. If you are willing to spend a little time communicating, this can be done by phone or e-mail in advance as a " time call " or scheduled pick up.Do NOT pay the whole fare in advance , get written confirmation of the agreement. Better yet , take the airport shuttle to the Greyhound or Traiways station and take the bus to Galveston.
39 miles following I-45 SOUTH.
46 miles following SR-528 TOLL/SR-528 (between I-95 and Port Canaveral),
It is 279 miles according to Google Maps.
It is 177 miles according to Google Maps.
The George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) is about 70 miles from Galveston. Hobby Airport (HOU) is closer at 42 miles. And yet: The journey is about an hour and a half fr…om either airport.
Too pricey. Just hop on a bus.
about 25 miles
70 miles taking this route: Take I-45 NORTH, from Galveston, all the way up to BELTWAY 8 - EAST to BUSH INTERCONT'L AIRPORT at EXIT 60D, in north Houston.Take BELTWAY 8 - EAS…T to BUSH INTERCONT'L AIRPORT; EXIT, and then follow signs to the terminal.
I'm assuming you mean Hobby Airport. That's 42 miles straight down I-45
