Your half-brother's half-sister could be your full sister, or not related to you at all. For example, say your parents are Joe and Mary and your half-brother's parents are Mary and Steven. Say your half-brother's half-sister is Barbara. If Joe and Mary are Barbara's parents, then she is your full sister and your half-brother's half-sister. If Barbara's parents are Steven and Jane, then Barbara is not related to you (unless there is an adoption).
There are many Mary's in the Bible, but the ones your probably referring to are Mary (Lazarus's' sister), Mary Magdalene, and Mary (Jesus' mother). They are all found in the gospels of the Bible. (Mathew, Mark, Luke, and John.)

Queen Mary I known as Bloody Mary on account of all the protestants she burnt at the stake. Not to be confused with Mary Queen of Scots.
A nun.Another answerTechnically, she is called a 'sister'. 'Nun' is a special sort of sister belonging to a particular order. Secular usage has made the two terms seem the same, but within the Church, there is a distinction. All nuns are sisters, but not all sisters are nuns. Officially, she is called a "sister". Nun is a special sort of sister belonging to a cloister, abbey or monastery, as they all belong, not to an order, but to a religious congregation. Maybe "The Nun Story" movie explains the widespread confusion although I believe Audrey Hepburn was a "cloistered nun". They the "Sister Act" film reinforced that duplicity as Whoopy Goldberg wore the habit of a Sister of St. Joseph who lived in a ... nunnery!
We are told in the Gospel that Jesus' mother Mary had a "sister" called Mary. It seems unlikely that Anne and Joachim had two daughters named Mary. This other Mary in turn had a husband named Cleophas (Jn 19:25). Cleophas is probably the brother of Joseph (Jesus' adopted father). It follows that Cleophas' wife Mary is the Virgin Mary's sister in law, which explains why they can have the same name and are called sisters.Catholic tradition says that Mary was probably an only child but does not deny that she may have had siblings. However, we have no documentation to verify this.
