We all have voices and sometimes some were not heard or inhibited especially those whose hands hold our future- youth. Constantly vociferating but often unheard, they flutter their conflagrating sentiment for their needs at times in order to survive this society of conflicting rages; the question is do we really listen? They are the product of time and the seed of what the generation would become. The foundation of interminably changing transition of the society that needs to be cultivated and taken care of.
I first encountered this poem on an English subject when I was a High School freshman and as a youth I genuinely felt emphatic that somehow our voices should be looked upon by adults who runs our environment, which guides us on our steps and set our rules for conformity and compensate. How about those younglings who became polluted with hedonistic implications of their egoistic habitats that behind those personas they resemble are lonely children who are deprived to speak and express themselves? Those confusing inquiries that rotates among their worlds? Shouldn't we trust them on doing what they want to achieve with support and encouragement?

QUIETNESS
Amador T. Daguio
I am lover of quietness-
Unechoed songs within a silent heart,
A sliver pond, a statued loveliness
Where words can take no part.
I love the quiet ways of memory,
The quiet looks to give you loving praise,
The quiet secrets of my misery
Through quiet nights and days.
The quiet mountains of the earth I love,
The moving clouds, the sun, the dewy leaf.
My quiet questioning o God above,
My quite, tearless grief
That's my answer....~bonzvalles~A statued loveliness is the explanation of each line of the poem quietness Amador Daguio.

For me, the poem quietness means peace.
My interpretation of the poem is that is is about a person who has found safety through the quietness of death. The person eplains that even though safety 'seems' to be avoiding the enemy, you aren't really safe until you have died and left the insanity of war. He seems to be aware of the grander things of the earth over war, but has made his peace/safety with dying.
