Amyloplast (Starch Grain): A membrane-bound organelle containing concentric layers of starch (amylopectin). This organelle is commonly found in subterranean storage organs, such as tubers (potatoes), corms (taro & dasheen), and storage roots (sweet potatoes). Amyloplasts are also found in bananas and other fruits. So Basically it makes and stores starch.
