well, the stitch selection is for if you want a zigzag stich for a zig zag line. you can chose what the pattern of your line will look like. If you want to make a bracelet with a cool look to it, i suggest you turn the dial to the one you like best. If the pattern it will make is not shown on the dial, you can look in the hand book if you got one. If not, just Google your machines model and put stich dial at the end of the name.
