The Owner's Manual says the gap is noted on a decal in the engine compartment. I'd rely on that.
The gap is also cited in the Owners Manual as .052-.056 (around page #261)
When I finally found Motorcraft brand plugs for my 2001, there were 2 different gaps cited at the parts store. I ended up not having to change the factory gap of about .055
AnswerMy Chiltons and the spec given to me at NAPA with the plugs said 0.053-0.056" for 1998 3.8L. The Autolite Platinum 2 plugs were not sized to this either.
AnswerBetween 0.042 and 0.046 it's in the Ford Windstar manuel if you have one it's almost at the end of the book. Hope it helps!
AnswerIf you go with the bosh platinum 2 plugs you don't have to worry about the gap, they come pre gapped and work like a charm. I am really pleased with them in my 98 3.8l.
6 spark plugs
The gap is .052-.056 inches.
thanks
Yes , the 4.6 liter V8 engine in a 1999 Ford E-150 has ( 8 spark plugs )
Yes, absolutely!See "Related Questions" below for much more about changing Windstar plugs and wires
Do you mean re-gap the plugs? Get a spark plug gapper, and set the gap to between .052-.056.
According to the Autozone website : For a 1995 Ford Windstar , 3.8 L V6 engine : The spark plug tightening torque is ( 7 to 15 foot pounds )
Motorcraft AGSF-34EE
Screwed in the heads.

Is this a trick question ( as far as I know the last model year of the Ford Windstar was 2003 )
The spark plug firing order is ( 1 - 4 - 2 - 5 - 3 - 6 ) The engine cylinder locations are numbered : firewall 1-----2-----3 4-----5-----6 front of Ford Windstar ( driver > )
