Basically none. All it does is displace the o2 which could result in asphyxiation. Basically, dont empty a bottle of it in an enclosed space and stay there for a while. It also does not get stored in your body.

If you breathe pure propane for any extended period of time you will pass out from lack of oxygen (and if you don't get some oxygen, you will then die) but that is not an allergic reaction, it is just a reaction to lack of oxygen (or anoxia, as it is technically called). There is no propane allergy. It is not medically possible.

How are methane fumes produced from a water heater and why are they dangerous?

Methane FumesSome water heaters use methane as a fuel. Heaters that have not been checked and serviced can release dangerous fumes. Immediately or shortly after exposure to oxygen levels of less than 15% in air, a person may feel tired, dizzy, and have a headache. The following health effects can occur after several years of exposure to methane:Cancer: Methane is not suspected of causing cancer.Reproductive Effects: The reproductive and developmental effects of methane are not known.Organ Systems: No long term health effects are currently associated with exposure to methane. In general, chemicals affect the same organ systems in all people who are exposed. However, the seriousness of the effects may vary from person to person.A person's reaction depends on several things, including individual health, heredity, previous exposure to chemicals including medicines, and personal habits such as smoking or drinking. It is also important to consider the length of exposure to the chemical; the amount of chemical exposure; and whether the chemical was inhaled, touched, or eaten.

Health effects of iodine131 strontium185 cesium137?

Since there is no strontium-185, and strontium-85 is rarely encountered, I am assuming you mean strontium-90, which is similar in its health effects to iodine-131 and cesium-137. All of these are readily absorbed by the body. All are strong negative beta emitters, and all either are or produce strong gamma emitters. It is the gamma emission that is particularly problematical. Gamma rays penetrate much deeper in living tissue than alpha or beta emissions. This causes cellular damage throughout the body, which can lead to a variety of symptoms of radiation poisoning. These include a range from headache, weakness and fatigue for limited exposure; nausea, vomiting, diarrhea (possibly bloody), and hair loss for greater levels of exposure, or death for heavy exposure. There is a chance of cancer, which increases with exposure.

What is the difference between safety and health management and risk management?

I generally consider workplace safety to be related to the physical hazards, such as possible falls, punctures, eye injuries, etc. As well as immediate health effects from chemicals such as fire or explosion. Health refers to hazards from exposure that are more long term, such as hearing loss from exposure to noise, mutagenic changes from chemical or radiation exposure and toxic effects from chemicals.
