The Corvette wasn't made with a 327ci V8 in 1970. A 1970 Corvette with the 350ci ZQ4 V8 puts out 300hp and with the 350ci LT1 V8 puts out 370hp (these are gross horse power figures).
350
350 engines from that year were available from 295 to 370 horsepower.
How much horsepower does a 5.7 litre 350 cubic inch engine in a 1970 Monte Carlo have? ======================================================== My Chilton book shows : 350 cubic inch / 2 barrel carb / 250 horsepower 350 cubic inch / 4 barrel carb / 300 horsepower
The 1970 engine had higher compression, but the big difference is in the way horsepower was calculated. In actuality, the 1970 was only a little more powerful than the 1977.
1970 Pontiac catalina coupe and sedan had a standard 350 255 horsepower the 400 was optional rated at 265 horsepower
an average 350 Chevy has between 160 and 180 horsepower
Probabaly either 285, or 300. The high performance 327 was dead in 68, as they had turned their attention to the 350 by then.
I believe that was 255 bhp for the 350 with 2 barrel carb
That is a moot question because either motor can be built to be stronger than the other one. Stock motor verses stock mototr an older 327 will produce more horsepower unless you find a four bolt main 350 which is called the 350LT1
327
yes just get head gaskets for the 350 not the 327
a 350 or 327 that is the question. A 350 or a 327
